Summer belongs to OLA ice cream. Whether you are lip syncing a Kwaito classic or sneakily enjoying the cherry from that other ice-cream monster. It’s always better enjoyed with your favourite OLA ice cream. So, when the year 2020 tried to ruin it, OLA made summer so joyful and relevant to South Africans that we couldn’t just do it once.

The Challenge
OLA needed to get ice cream Lovers to choose joy by sharing a little happiness with other people through ice-cream.
The Solution
OLA created moments that encourage people to share a little happiness, generate awareness of OLA’s range, while staying top of mind and land that ‘joy is better shared’.
We used our campaign messaging Choose Joy and Share A Little Happiness, to create engagement and increase consumption moments. Which was driven by our mechanic which included an opportunity to win your share of R500 000 in instant prizes when you bought any 2 OLA ice creams. Receiving over half a million entries into the competition. Our community of influencers / creators and OLA advocates fostered the positive sentiment of sharing a little happiness through random acts of kindness
