How to Work with an In-House Talent Team | OLIVER

With one of the biggest in-house talent teams in London, we get a lot of recruitment agencies wanting to help us find the best talent possible for OLIVER Group. Our Talent Team share their top tips for how recruiters can best work with an in-house team. They’re all ex-recruitment agency consultants, so they know how it works!

Internally, we cover creative, technical and client services recruitment, both permanent and freelance, with the help of the resource team. Want to work with us? Here are our top tips:

We love an email!

Cold calling – we’re not keen on it. If you want to have the opportunity to work with OLIVER then please feel free to drop us an e-mail. As mentioned, we have all come from a recruitment agency background and totally get it’s part of your job but trying to get through reception and sell us your agency won’t go down well here. If you email us, we’ll get back to you, PROMISE!

Speculative CVs are a no-no

As a big team, it’s our job to hire candidates directly as much as possible. Sending us a speculative CV will not get you any interviews or the opportunity to work with us. In fact, it will have the opposite effect so please don’t send us any! So yes to email, but a nice one please.

Play by the rules

The Talent team are responsible for all recruitment agency correspondence and going directly to one of our Hiring Managers instead of us will only hinder your opportunity to work with OLIVER. So please, play nice! We want to be friends!

That dreaded word…

We know this is the very word that all recruitment agencies dread but we have a PSL in place for a reason, if you aren’t on our PSL then we can’t give you roles to work on, it’s as simple as that. Sorry!

Let’s create a long lasting relationship

We value our suppliers and want to build trusting and lasting relationships so we are able to rely on them when we are struggling with positions that we can’t fill ourselves. There’s a lot of us, but we’re not recruitment gods, just yet.
