Meet Our OLIVER Group Talent Team | OLIVER

Due to our increasing growth, we now have a fully-fledged Talent Team. These guys work hard to find great people to work across the OLIVER Group globally (which includes DARE, Marketing Matters and Aylesworth Fleming). Here’s who to get in touch with if you’re interested in joining the team.

Last year, our talent team hired almost 100 new people in just a few months – our Talent Director was even interviewed by the Evening Standard on how the team was able to keep up with such a high demand. We’d like to introduce you to the hardworking Talent Team who secure amazing talent for our fast growing Group.

Rebecca Ferrara and Giorgia Rossini look after creative roles, James McDonnell and Will Chui recruit for client services, Jacob Osborne for all those technical roles the rest of the team doesn’t quite understand and Igor Vilarinho for content and social. All led by the great Ivana Jethwa.

Here’s why they decided to join the in-house talent team at OLIVER and what they specialise in.

Rebecca Ferrara, Creative Roles

I’d spent over 2 years working within a recruitment agency environment, and the new business side of my job was never my strongest skill (but don’t tell anyone). What I really enjoyed was engaging and building relationships with candidates and clients. This was the big push for me to decide to go in-house and focus on areas that I felt I was strongest in as well as taking on new challenges.  Going in-house at OLIVER has been an amazing opportunity for me to improve my skills, gain valuable experience and the best thing is, you get to work with the talented people that you hire every day.

Giorgia Rossini, Creative Roles

The whole point of having an internal team is that we all know this business inside out and we know what works here and what doesn’t. It also means we’re not just putting bums on seats, but we’re involved in a more strategic approach to the growth of this company all over the world. For example, I’m headhunting in Singapore, the US and even Panama. Now I’m just waiting for my boss to let me go run all the interviews!

James McDonnell, Client Service Roles

I decided to go in-house for a few reasons. The first was that whilst I enjoyed working at a recruitment agency, I wanted to go somewhere that I had a far more structured career path, somewhere that I could expand my skillset.

Secondly, I wanted to move to a bigger company. OLIVER has over 230 people in their HQ, that’s without counting our on-site teams (we now total over 850 people). This means there are more positions open, more training, loads of people to meet and great parties.

Jacob Osborne, Technical Roles

This talent team has the culture of positivity and collaboration I was looking for but also a great understanding of how to recruit the right way. The role was not just about providing an internal service but also building a platform for the business to develop and grow effectively.

I’m really excited to be taking ownership of our technical recruitment here and working alongside both OLIVER and DARE so we can attract the best developers on the market.

Igor Vilarinho, Content and Social Media Roles

I joined OLIVER’s talent team in January 2016. I’ve spent the last 4 years in recruitment specialising in Social Media and Content Marketing, but what attracted me to OLIVER was the opportunity to really broaden my skillset and my market knowledge. In the few weeks I’ve been here alongside my new and very talented colleagues, I’ve been developing my knowledge in Creative, and learning the differences between a UI Designer and a UX Designer (amongst many other things!). I love being able to work with the team towards one common goal, which is ensuring the OLIVER group consists of the best talent in the industry.

Will Chui, Client Service Roles

I’m a Talent Acquisition Advisor here at OLIVER and look after client services, planning and project managements/production roles across Digital and Integrated. I previously spent over three years as an agency recruiter before moving in-house. OLIVER was actually one of my biggest clients as a recruiter and moving in-house here definitely felt like a natural progression. My time here has flown by and I have been kept incredibly busy due to the huge global expansion at OLIVER.

So there you go. The OLIVER Group invests in the people it hires, and the Talent Team is always on the lookout for the Group’s next creative superstar.  We’re also looking to expand our in-house recruitment team.
